What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you will play an important part in patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Your main responsibilities include:
- Making sure the operating room is always ready — from equipment checks to maintaining sterility
- Coordinating daily nursing tasks and managing workload fairly among the team
- Assisting surgeons and anticipating needs during procedures
- Providing respectful, safe, and culturally aware care to patients and their families
- Supporting quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Communicating clearly with doctors, nurses, and support staff using professional standards like S.B.A.R.
- Helping guide and train theatre nursing staff alongside senior nursing leaders
- Keeping your professional skills and competencies up to date
- Following all safety and hospital policies to ensure a secure and efficient working environment
What They’re Looking For
To qualify for this position, candidates should have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized institute
- A valid nursing license (or eligibility to get licensed in Qatar)
- 3 to 5 years of nursing experience — with at least 1 year in a similar OR role
- Knowledge and experience in orthopaedic and sports surgeries
- Strong operating theatre skills, especially in maintaining a sterile field
- Good understanding of OR equipment and inventory handling
- Excellent English communication skills (Arabic is an added advantage)
