Qatar’s Ministry of Interior has announced official rules for decorating vehicles during National Day celebrations, including restrictions on window tinting, licence plate coverage, and vehicle colour changes. The regulations apply from December 14 to 20, 2025.
Under the regulations, motorists are prohibited from using tinted or coloured front and rear windshields, as well as the driver’s side and front passenger side windows, to ensure clear visibility and road safety during the festive period.
The ministry also stressed that the original colour of the vehicle must not be altered, including through wraps, paints, or coverings used for celebratory purposes.
In addition, front and rear licence plates must remain fully visible and unobstructed, with decorations not permitted to cover, distort, or conceal plate numbers.
The MoI further clarified that written stickers, slogans, or decals unrelated to Qatar National Day celebrations are not allowed, and that all decorations must be appropriate and limited to the occasion.
