December 2024 updates
The Ministry of Interior released an updated version of the Metrash app on December 17, 2024, including more than 100 new features, such as appointment scheduling, security services, authorization, inquiry, profile management, and certificates. Who is eligible?
You must fulfill the following eligibility requirements in order to register for the Metrash2 app:
You must be at least eighteen years old to be eligible.
You must have a valid QID.
Your QID must be linked to your mobile number. If not, you can amend this information by going to your service provider, such as Vodafone or Ooredoo.
It is important to note that visitors to Qatar who do not have a QID cannot register for the Metrash2 app.
How to register Metrash on Mobile?
Step1: Download the app from playstore/app store
Visit google play store or app store(Iphone users) and download the app.
Step2: Select the language
Select your preferred language. You can select it from the bottom right language sign button.The app default language is arabic.you have the option to choose your desired language as this app is available in english, urdu, French, spanish and Malayalam.After choosing the language, click on the “login” section.
Enter Qatar ID details:
Enter your Qid number and click on next. Now enter your QID expiry date.
Following that, a confirmation notice will show, asking, “Are you sure your phone number is linked to your Qatar ID?” Tap “Yes” after verifying that the mobile number you’re using is registered under your QID.
Activation through SMS number 92992:
Once the above steps are completed, the Metrash2 will generate the automated SMS containing activation key.
Send this activation key to the 92992 number.
Wait for an SMS with two activation numbers (Parts 1 and 2).
Metrash2 app pin code setting:
Now reopen the metrash and enter your QID and two part pin code received through SMS.
Set numeric passwords that must be at least 6 digits .
Reconfirm the PIN and tap “Submit”.
Complete Registration:
You will receive a confirmation SMS indicating that you have successfully registered. Log in to the app using your newly generated PIN.
Accept the Terms and Conditions before utilizing Metrash2 services.
Activate Metrash2 Mobile Application on Second Device

Step 2: Enter Credentials

Enter the OTP(one time password) received on your primary device.This OTP is valid for 10 minutes.
Step 4: Use Metrash Mob App in another Device

How to Change Mobile Number in Metrash2 Mobile Application
Updating your registered mobile number in the Metrash2 application is essential to ensure uninterrupted access to Qatar’s government services. If you’ve changed your mobile number, follow these steps to update it in Metrash2:
Visit MOI(ministry of interior) website.
